Committees

The committee shapes and advances the council’s regulatory agenda. Responsibilities include advising the Board on regulatory policy, compiling compliance information for members, engaging with government officials on policy initiatives, and participating in meetings with regulators. The committee also actively collaborates in coalition meetings and activities to further regulatory objectives.

Focused on legislative matters, the committee reviews communications and engages in meetings with legislators at the federal level to advance association priorities. It recommends policy directions on legislative issues, participates in coalition activities, and actively supports the annual fly-in to advocate for the association's interests.

The committee is dedicated to ensuring the success of the annual meeting. Responsibilities include overseeing agenda development, identifying suitable sites and venues, soliciting conference exhibitors and sponsors, and securing potential speakers. The committee plays a crucial role in creating a dynamic and engaging event for members and participants.

The committee plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of the ATEC Journal, a peer-reviewed, biannual electronic publication. The committee is entrusted with the responsibility of curating and reviewing articles from educators, administrators, students, and industry professionals, covering a broad spectrum of topics related to teaching techniques and research in the field.

The ATEC community includes an incredible roster of master teachers. We are proud to welcome several of our finest to act as ATEC Academy facilitators—these individuals bring more than 100 years of aviation maintenance technician school teaching experience to aid the learning experience.
