Professional Bio

Daniel serves as an assistant professor in the School of Aviation at Auburn University. Prior to Auburn, Daniel was a clinical-track assistant professor and FAA Part 147 coordinator in the aerospace department at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He has also spent one year teaching at the University of Central Missouri. His research interests include immersive technology, safety culture, and aviation education. He has been published in various journals, including Harvard Law School’s National Security Journal. He holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate, a Commercial Pilot certificate with an Instrument rating, and an Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) certificate.
