ATTN DMEs: FAA to Host Virtual Designee Outreach Meeting Nov. 5

The FAA Delegation Group (AFS-850) will host a virtual Designee Outreach Meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Central via Zoom.

The meeting is intended for FAA designees, including Designated Mechanic Examiners (DMEs), Designated Parachute Rigger Examiners (DPREs), Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs), Sport Aviation Examiners (SAEs), Administrative Pilot Examiners (Admin PEs), Part 141 schools with examining authority, Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DAR-Ts and DAR-Fs), and Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representatives (DMIRs).

The meeting will begin with a general session covering updates and topics common to all designee types, followed by specialized breakout sessions:

Room 1: DPEs, SAEs, Admin PEs, and Part 141 schools with examining authority

Room 2: DMEs and DPREs

Room 3: DAR-Ts, DAR-Fs, and DMIRs

FAA policy subject matter experts, including those covering FAA Orders 8000.95 and 8130.2, will be available during the breakout sessions to answer questions. The meeting provides an opportunity for designees to connect with peers, engage with FAA policy leadership, and discuss key aspects of the delegation program.
