Updated Mechanic ACS Drafts Now Available for Review
ATEC has posted updated draft revisions to the FAA Mechanic Airman Certification Standards (ACS) for member review and comment.
These updates reflect the latest round of changes developed by the ATEC-led ACS working group, following a comprehensive, line-by-line review conducted in collaboration with educators, industry partners, and FAA designees. Recent revisions continue to advance efforts to improve clarity, consistency, and usability across the ACS, with an emphasis on risk management, measurement, and alignment with real-world practice.
Members are encouraged to review the updated draft materials in advance of the ATEC Annual Conference—and come prepared with feedback. The working group will walk through the latest revisions and gather input during Breakout C.2. Modernizing the Mechanic ACS, scheduled for Tuesday, 10:30–11:30 a.m. This session offers an opportunity to engage directly in the review process and help shape the next iteration of the Mechanic ACS.
