Submissions Now Open for Expanded ATEC Awards

ATEC has expanded its award categories for 2026 and is now accepting nominations for students, educators, and emerging leaders in aviation maintenance education. New this year, the ATEC Professional Development Awards support AMT educators in pursuing career-advancing training and learning opportunities that strengthen programs and the workforce pipeline, with all award recipients recognized at the 2026 ATEC Annual Conference.

The following awards are available:

  • James Rardon Student of the Year Award — nominators are invited to recognize a student who demonstrates academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful community impact.
  • Ivan D. Livi Aviation Maintenance Educator of the Year Award — nominators are invited to recognize an AMT instructor who exemplifies outstanding teaching, dedication, and commitment to aviation maintenance education.
  • Professional Development Awards — New this year, AMT instructors may apply for three Professional Development Awards designed to support equipment-based training, industry workshops, and participation in ATEC Academy.
