Professional Bio

I have been in the aviation industry since 1976 when I joined the United States Air Force, with my first 4 years as an aircraft mechanic. I cross-trained to flight engineer and I spent the next 19 years traveling the world in a C-5 Galaxy, with a 4-year tour in Oklahoma teaching aircraft performance and physics related to flight.
I still wasn’t finished with the military yet, as 2 years after I retired from the USAF, the USAF Reserves called me to serve. I got to spend another 8 years flying during my reserve time. This was followed by a 4-year stint in South Carolina teaching Boeing’s new hires the structural skills needed to build today’s composite aircraft. In 2016 I moved back to Delaware for an opportunity to teach for DelTech’s Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technology program.
I possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License, as well as an FAA Flight Engineer License with over 7400 hours in the air as a C-5 Galaxy Flight Engineer.
While in the United States Air Force, I attended courses for the Community College of the Air Force in Alabama, graduating with my associate degree in Flight Engineer Technology.
I have had an extensive amount of training during my career in aviation attending multiple Boeing factory schools, Airline training from Dubai Air Wing, Embraer, and Lockheed, as well as the United States Air Force.
