Professional Bio
I am an FAA-certified A&P technician and Aviation Maintenance Instructor at Norfolk Aviation Institute of Maintenance. With 8 years of U.S. Navy service (including four Middle East deployments) conducting maritime security, civilian airline maintenance at MHIRJ Aviation and Piedmont Airlines, and technical instruction, I bring comprehensive expertise to aviation maintenance education.
Currently completing a Master of Science in Aeronautics with Leadership specialization at Liberty University, my research examines competency-based assessment frameworks versus FAA Part 147 traditional time-based curriculum. My capstone study at Norfolk AIM included extensive field research advocating for hybrid training approaches that balance regulatory requirements with measurable competency outcomes.
As an instructor specializing in electrical systems, electronics, Basic math, Aerodynamics, Physics, Weight and Balance, and Aircraft inspections, I prepares students for FAA certification and successful maintenance careers. I am also in the process of developing the Ghana Aviation Training and Engineering Center (GATEC), an integrated training academy and MRO facility that will provide internationally credentialed aviation maintenance education.
I join ATEC to collaborate with fellow educators on training innovation, contribute to discussions on regulatory evolution, and advance competency-based training implementation within the aviation maintenance profession.
