Choose Aerospace Seeks Aviation Maintenance Educator for Curriculum Development Role

Choose Aerospace is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to help enhance instructional resources for the next generation of technicians. This part-time, remote contract role will lead a one-year project focused on the organization’s General Aviation Maintenance Curriculum and related teaching aids.

The Lead Instructional Designer will review and improve curriculum modules, develop teaching aids and hands-on labs, incorporate feedback from educators, coordinate with subject matter experts, and support Choose Aerospace's annual teacher training.

Candidates should have experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or educational content production, as well as experience teaching the general subject areas outlined in the FAA Mechanic Airman Certification Standards. Experience in aviation maintenance education, career and technical education, competency-based learning, or industry credentialing is preferred.

The position requires an estimated 10–20 hours per week and is primarily remote and flexible, with some meetings during regular work hours.
