ATEC Board Welcomes New Director, Approves Leadership and Bylaws Updates
During its September board meeting, held in conjunction with the Fly-In in Washington, D.C., the ATEC Board of Directors welcomed a new member and approved its leadership slate for the coming year.
Francisco Gonzalez of San Bernardino Valley College will join the board as an AMTS representative. The board also approved Jared Britt as President, Michael Sasso as Vice President, and David Blanton as Treasurer. Jim Hall will transition to past president and serve ex officio on the Choose Aerospace Board. ATEC thanks Jim for his leadership and service as president.
ATEC also extends its gratitude to past president and longtime director Gary Hoyle, who is rolling off the board following his recent retirement from PIA. We thank Gary for his many years of leadership and service to ATEC and wish him well as he enjoys retirement and more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
The board also updated the director nomination process, requiring nominees to provide a letter of support from their organization and demonstrate previous involvement with ATEC.
Updates to the ATEC Bylaws were also approved, expanding AMTS membership eligibility to qualifying additional training locations and creating new Affiliate and Individual membership categories.
