Airmen Certification Organization Designation Authorization (AC ODA) Listening Session
As part of the FAA Designee Listening Sessions, there will be an AC ODA Session from 1100-1200 CDT on July 21. More details below.
Purpose – Share information about FAA Order 8100.15C Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Procedures that includes the AC ODA type. This policy provides a method for qualified Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) parts 121, 135, 141, 142, 145 or 147 certificate holders to apply to conduct specific FAA approved airmen testing functions leading to the issuance of FAA airmen certificates for pilots or mechanics.
The presentation will provide an overview of the following:
- Benefits of the ODA program and the AC ODA type
- ODA holder eligibility, qualifications, and responsibilities
- What to expect during the Application and Evaluation process
- Procedures Manual requirements
- Unit Member appointment process
There will be time for questions from attendees and an opportunity to share feedback.
All meetings will be held in the Great Room of the Heritage Gallery. These are in-person meetings at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh only—there is no virtual component. The Heritage Gallery is a private meeting space located outside and just south of the main gate, along Forest Home and across from the T-33 mounted on a pole. Follow the signs to the “PHP Center” and continue up the driveway until you see a brown building with a Heritage Gallery sign in front. See the attached map below.
