Professional Bio
Retired Senior Non-commissioned officer, after serving 21-years in Army aviation, I entered the civilian sector as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic, specializing on Cirrus aircraft as a chief inspector with an Inspection Authorization. I was fortunate enough to be recruited by Sikorsky Helicopter Company, a Lockheed Company, as a maintenance manager for their prestigious after-market Sikorsky Training Academy. The academy help transition new owners into their 21-million aircraft. Customers included LA County Fire, San Diego Fire, and etc. I am currently assigned as an inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
I am pursuing a masters in aviation education and am well aware of the role that atec.org provides for 14 CFR Part 147 schools, in an effort to feed the mechanic shortage.
Personally, I am a supporter of humanitarian aviation efforts such as Samaritan's Purse, and other who use aviation assets as a useful tool, helping those most in need.
