Andy Schneider

As chief executive officer of Horizon Air, Andy Schneider is responsible for engaging the people of Horizon and working with them to deliver exceptional regional air service on behalf of Alaska Airlines.

With a focus on safety, continual improvement and execution, Andy is committed to working with the people of Horizon to deliver results that further build on the company's strong track record of safety, operational performance and a great guest experience. Horizon plays a critical role in connecting communities across the West, and Andy’s leadership ensures we continue delivering safe and reliable regional service with heart.

Previously, Andy served as senior vice president of people for Alaska, focusing on delivering a remarkable employee experience for the 30,000 people who've chosen to build careers at Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air. In that role, Andy's team was responsible for executing a people strategy that included securing the best talent, providing competitive benefits our employees can be proud of, supporting leaders and their teams through human resource operations, and elevating a culture where everyone belongs and can be themselves.

Andy has also served as was vice president of inflight and call centers services, leading teams to deliver a remarkable guest experience in the air and over the phone. Prior to that she served as senior vice president of people and customer services for Horizon, responsible for station operations. There she oversaw services training, customer relations, inflight services, facilities and network services, food and beverage services, human resources and labor relations. She's also held additional roles at Alaska in station operations and cargo services. She began her career as the airline's manager of financial accounting in 1989.
