Professional Bio

Over the years, I've worn many hats- Instructor, Repairman/Aircrew, Commissioning Technician, Field Support Specialist, Flight Engineer, Airplane Mechanic, Repair Station Technician, and Sr. Part 135 A&P Technician. As a result, I've cultivated extensive experience in flight engineering, electrical/mechanical maintenance, wind utility installation, and quality assurance inspection. Since I was a kid, I loved aviation and my diverse background has enabled me to efficiently synthesize project information and accurately establish project scope - set project costs and productivity benchmarks - successfully manage and control budgets - develop good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels to build consensus. Now, I have a track record of success in leading teams across large scale projects.

I enjoy listening to frontline crew members and learning their best practices, their biggest barriers, and standardizing them across the board. I enable top talent, recognize underutilized resources and boost them up, praise publicly, correct privately, and bear no grudges. More than once, I've had one of my team speak with me after I had to make some course corrections, and thank me for explaining exactly what I needed changed, but then not holding it over their head afterwards. I am comfortable making and giving presentations, and I have consulted for compensated speaking engagements regularly.
