Professional Bio
Dr. Mary Johnson is a site director at Purdue University in the FAA Center of Excellence for general aviation research known as Partnership to Enhance General Aviation Safety, Accessibility, and Sustainability (PEGASAS). Her research areas focus on aviation sustainability, engine emissions analysis, and general aviation data analysis and automation. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt specializing in statistical data analysis, designing experiments, statistical process control, discrete event stochastic simulation, and technology development and integration. Her background includes aerospace industry and automation research for 30 years prior to joining academia. Her BS, MS, and PhD are from the University of Texas at Arlington in industrial engineering.
