ATEC Awards Two awards are presented during ATEC Conferences. They are the Ivan D. Livi Maintenance Educator of the Year Award, and the James Rardon Aviation Maintenance Technician Student of the Year Award.

here. The Ivan D. Livi Maintenance
Educator of the Year Award is presented to recognize outstanding achievement of an aviation maintenance technology instructor achievement in a single event or from long-term outstanding performance which has had a direct impact on Aviation Maintenance Technician students. The ATEC Awards Committee selects the winner of this award from nominations received, and the winner is presented with an award plaque during the annual conference Awards Luncheon. The James Rardon Aviation Maintenance Technician
Student of the Year Awards recognize outstanding achievement of Aviation MaintenanceTechnician students. These achievements must be demonstrated through academics as well as through involvement that makes a direct impact on the student's associates, school and/or community. The ATEC Awards Committee, and the Northrop Rice Foundation Board of Directors, select ten (10) finalists for the award from nominations received. The ATEC Awards Committee then selects the winner of the Student of the Year award from the finalists. The winner is presented with an award plaque during the annual conference Awards Luncheon. Each of the other finalist receive a James Rardon Outstanding AMT Student Certificate.
